Legislature shall develop salary funding levels for each state agency under the State Personnel Board's purview, in consultation with the State Personnel Board and using information from the Legislative Budget Office.

Legislative Budget Office must provide detailed salary funding level listings to the State Personnel Board within 30 days after the legislative session ends for distribution to all agencies.

State agencies must ensure all personal services actions and payroll do not exceed their assigned salary funding levels, with the State Personnel Board monitoring compliance.

Agencies may request revised salary funding levels from the State Personnel Board, Legislative Budget Office, and State Fiscal Officer if current levels are insufficient; the State Personnel Board has authority to approve or deny requests.

State Personnel Board must notify the House and Senate Appropriations Committee Chairmen and the Legislative Budget Office when approving or denying salary funding level revision requests.
