Diverts 2% of state sales tax revenue collected on activities at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum and Convention Center to the Mississippi Coast Coliseum and Convention Trust Fund, effective August 15, 2024, for capital improvements or major repairs only.

Diverts 2% of state sales tax revenue collected on activities at the Mississippi State Fairgrounds to a special fund managed by the Department of Agriculture and Commerce, effective August 15, 2024, for capital improvements or major repairs only.

Both diversions exclude sales tax collected under Sections 27-65-19(3), 27-65-21, and 27-65-24.

Funds must be expended upon legislative appropriation and are dedicated solely to capital improvements and major repairs at each facility.

Takes effect July 1, 2024.
