Appropriates $173,016,709 from the State General Fund and $113,449,615 from special funds to the Department of Public Safety for fiscal year 2025 (July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025)

Authorizes 1,693 permanent positions and 78 time-limited positions within the department

Allocates $5,000,000 from the Mississippi Department of Transportation for the Commercial Transportation Enforcement Division and provides $4,312,602 for programs supported by court assessments including crime stoppers, forensics laboratories, and law enforcement training

Provides Capital Expense Fund allocations including $1,000,000 for forensics lab equipment, $1,535,000 for Driver Services Bureau lease and improvements, $1,583,000 for Capitol Police vehicles, and $500,000 for Law Enforcement Training Academy repairs

Establishes performance targets across multiple divisions including goals for a 4% decrease in highway fatalities, 5% increase in DUI arrests, 635,250 driver's licenses issued, 25,000 forensic reports, and 1,300 drug suspect arrests
