Restores voting rights to DeWitt Cooperwood of Oktibbeha County, Mississippi, who lost eligibility as an elector due to a felony conviction.

DeWitt Cooperwood was convicted on October 18, 1993, in Oktibbeha County of false pretenses-communications cross jurisdictional lines and sentenced to three years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections.

Cooperwood was discharged to the supervision of the Mississippi Probation and Parole Board on November 3, 1994, and has since conducted himself as a law-abiding citizen.

The act takes effect upon passage.
