Acknowledges Buffett's University of Southern Mississippi alumni status, his 1977 hit "Margaritaville," and his cultural impact on American pop culture and Gulf Coast heritage.

Notes the City of Pascagoula's 2015 dedication of the Jimmy Buffett Bridge over Baptiste Bayou and his 2020 induction into the Mississippi Songwriter Hall of Fame.

Directs the resolution be presented to Buffett's surviving family and forwarded to the Mississippi Music Hall of Fame and National Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
