Designates February 6, 2024, as "Family Medicine Appreciation Day" in Mississippi to honor the 75th anniversary of the Mississippi Academy of Family Physicians State Charter, which was granted on February 1, 1949.

Recognizes the Mississippi Academy of Family Physicians as the largest medical specialty organization in the state with 1,398 members, including 702 active family physicians practicing in 73 counties, 154 resident doctors in eight residency programs, and 542 medical students.

Acknowledges the mission of the organization to improve health outcomes for all Mississippians and ensure access to well-trained family physicians for comprehensive health care management.

Celebrates family physicians' contributions to the health and wellbeing of Mississippi citizens and communities throughout the state.

Directs that this resolution be presented to the Mississippi Academy of Family Physicians and made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
