Commends and congratulates the Meridian High School "Wildcats" Boys Basketball Team for winning the first MHSAA 7A State Championship with a 54-50 victory over Clinton on March 2, 2024.

Recognizes Head Coach Ronald Norman and the championship team's record of 24-9, achieved after the new 7A classification was added at the start of the 2023-2024 school year.

Lists 18 players on the championship roster including Javion Yarbrough, who played a key role in keeping the team composed during the final minutes of the championship game.

Directs that the resolution be presented to Coach Ronald Norman, school principal Angela McQuarley, and Athletic Director Dr. Cheyenne Trussell, with copies forwarded to the Meridian School Board and Capitol Press Corps.
