Commends Lawrence "Bud" Young for 49 years of distinguished service to Northwest Mississippi Community College upon his second retirement as rodeo coach

Recognizes Young for founding Northwest's first rodeo team in 1973 and serving as the longest tenured instructor in the college's athletic history with 36 years at his first retirement in 2009

Honors his induction into the Northwest Sports Hall of Fame (2005) and Mississippi Association of Community and Junior College Sports Hall of Fame (2013)

Acknowledges his 18 years as National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA) facility director, two terms as association president, and continued post-retirement service as arena manager and adjunct faculty

Notes his recognition with the Lawrence "Bud" Young Endowed Scholarship established in 2005 and the 2015 Cowboy Keeper Award for preserving cowboy culture and pioneer heritage
