Requires uninsured motorist coverage limits to automatically equal bodily injury and property damage liability coverage limits for policies issued after July 1, 2025, unless the insured specifically selects lower limits in writing.

Permits insureds to select lower uninsured motorist coverage limits in writing, but not below minimum limits required by the Mississippi Motor Vehicle Safety Responsibility Law.

Allows lower limits selected by an insured to carry forward into renewal policies by the same insurer unless the insured requests higher coverage in writing.

Requires insurers to inform applicants of the benefits and reasons for electing uninsured motorist coverage on a Department of Insurance-approved form during policy sale or issuance.

Takes effect July 1, 2025.
