Requires courts to immediately and automatically expunge records when an arrest was made, the person was released, and the case was dismissed, charges were dropped, there was no disposition, or the person was found not guilty at trial.

Requires courts to automatically expunge records of persons arrested for misdemeanors who are not formally charged or prosecuted within 12 months of arrest, or upon dismissal of charges.

Mandates all law enforcement agencies and court clerks to promptly report expungements to the Mississippi Justice Information Center, which must expunge and destroy corresponding records.

Establishes procedures for the Mississippi Justice Information Center to maintain expungement records in a confidential database accessible only to prosecutors, the Attorney General, and law enforcement certification boards.

Takes effect July 1, 2025.
