Removes the prohibition that prevents constables from receiving fees for making arrests or attending trials related to motor vehicle law violations on United States highways within their district.

Constables must complete a two-week training curriculum addressing their duties, responsibilities, and firearm use and safety, with the county board of supervisors paying expenses for the first attendance only.

Constables who fail to complete required training within 24 months of office lose entitlement to fees, costs, and compensation; those who do not complete training cannot exercise law enforcement functions or carry firearms until training is finished.

The Board on Law Enforcement Officers Standards and Training shall establish an annual eight-hour continuing education program for constables, divided equally between firearms training and legal instruction, with costs paid from the Law Enforcement Officers Training Fund.

The act takes effect July 1, 2025.
