MS HB1275

Establishes a grant program under the Department of Finance and Administration to provide grants to municipalities and counties for repair, renovation, upgrades, and improvements to veterans parks they operate or maintain.

Requires applicants to submit applications describing the project purpose, amount of assistance requested, and other information the department requires.

Mandates that municipalities and counties provide proof that matching funds from local sources, private sources, and/or other sources equal at least the amount of assistance being requested.

Creates the "Municipalities and Counties Veterans Parks Fund" as a special fund in the State Treasury that does not lapse at fiscal year-end and retains all interest and investment earnings.

Takes effect July 1, 2025.
