Makes it unlawful for any person to intentionally and willfully make false claims of damages to law enforcement or the Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce alleging harm from pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, rodenticides, fumigants, plant growth regulators, fertilizers, or other agents applied through chemigation, fertigation, or aerial application.

Upon the third occurrence of making such false claims, a person is guilty of a misdemeanor and subject to imprisonment in county jail for up to six months, a fine of at least $1,000, or both, plus additional attorney's fees, law enforcement costs, and court costs.

Claims for damages that are deemed inconclusive by the Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce Bureau of Plant Industry shall not count as one of the three qualifying false claim violations.

Takes effect July 1, 2025.
