Creates an 11-member Commission to Redesignate Confederate County Names in Mississippi composed of 3 House members, 3 Senate members, the Executive Director of the Department of Archives and History, 2 Board of Trustees representatives, and 2 gubernatorial appointees.

Commission shall review names of confederacy-related counties and make recommendations on whether to change county names and propose alternative names, with the goal of increasing economic viability and appeal of counties.

Commission must hold its first meeting by July 1, 2025, meet monthly, and operate by majority vote with a quorum of six members.

Commission shall submit an initial report with findings, conclusions, and recommendations to the Legislature and Governor by December 1, 2025, and annual follow-up reports thereafter by December 1 of each year.

Legislative members receive reimbursement at committee meeting rates; all other members serve without compensation, and the Department of Archives and History provides staff support.
