Establishes that municipal judges in all municipalities shall be appointed for a fixed term of office running concurrently with the term of the appointing municipal governing authorities.

Requires municipal judges to forfeit their office and become ineligible to serve if they become unqualified to serve for any reason.

Applies the fixed term requirement to municipal judges in municipalities with 10,000+ population (Section 21-23-3), municipalities with less than 10,000 population (Section 21-23-5), and municipal judges pro tempore (Section 21-23-9).

Brings forward Section 21-3-3 regarding elective officers of municipalities operating under a code charter for possible amendment.

Takes effect July 1, 2025.
