Authorizes government-owned fire department vehicles to display blue lights in addition to red and white lights during emergency responses, provided the vehicle has a gross vehicle weight rating exceeding 24,000 pounds.

Requires written authorization from the fire chief of the government agency and restricts blue light display to the rear of the vehicle only.

Exempts volunteer fire department vehicles that receive funds pursuant to Section 83-1-39 from the blue light authorization.

Amends Section 63-7-20 to allow government-owned fire department vehicles authorized under Section 63-7-19 to legally display blue lights, which was previously unlawful except for law enforcement officers on duty.

Takes effect July 1, 2025.
