Requires all governmental entities covered by Mississippi's Tort Claims Act to maintain minimum liability insurance coverage of $500,000

Mandates the Tort Claims Board to purchase liability insurance policies with no less than $500,000 in coverage for protection against claims and suits

Allows governmental entities to purchase additional excess liability insurance above the $500,000 minimum, with immunity waived only to the extent of excess coverage carried

Brings forward existing provisions requiring the Tort Claims Board to regulate all liability coverage of governmental entities, including annual review of self-insurance programs

Effective date of July 1, 2025
