Amends Mississippi Code Section 11-1-60 to adjust noneconomic damages caps based on an 8% compound annual interest rate beginning July 1, 2025

Current caps remain at $500,000 for health care malpractice cases and $1,000,000 for all other civil actions, but will increase annually by 8% compounded

Applies to all causes of action filed on or after September 1, 2004, with the compounding adjustments effective from July 1, 2025 forward

Judges must reduce any noneconomic damages awards that exceed the applicable adjusted limitation; juries remain unaware of the caps

Effective date: July 1, 2025
