Requires state agencies, boards, commissions, public officers, and officials to provide prior written notification to the Governor and Legislature before entering into settlements, consent decrees, or agreed judgments exceeding $1,000,000 or affecting election administration.

Settlements subject to this requirement cannot take effect for 30 days after notification unless the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and Speaker of the House waive the waiting period.

Settlements entered into in violation of this act are void.

Records and documents communicated to the Governor and Legislature under this act are exempt from the Mississippi Public Records Act of 1983.

Effective date is July 1, 2025.
