Requires physicians, health care providers, and nurse midwives to offer postpartum depression screening to postnatal care patients and birthing mothers using evidence-based guidelines.

Mandates insurers and Medicaid provide coverage for postpartum depression screening with adequate reimbursement to health care providers for administration of screenings.

Requires health care providers who identify postpartum depression through screening to provide appropriate referrals and discuss available treatment options, including pharmacological treatments.

Effective July 1, 2025.
