Requires any candidate who receives a majority vote in a municipal election to be elected within six days of the election.

If no candidate receives a majority vote, the two candidates with the highest vote totals advance to a runoff election held three weeks later, with the majority vote winner being elected.

In case of a tie among candidates for the second runoff spot, all tied candidates and the top vote-getter advance to the runoff, with the plurality vote winner being elected.

If the runoff election results in a tie vote, the winner is determined by a coin toss or public lot drawing under election commission supervision.

Effective July 1, 2025, but contains a technical error stating the act "shall stand repealed on June 30, 2025."
