Excludes amounts received as tips from gross income for Mississippi state income tax purposes, effective January 1, 2025.

Defines "tips" to include cash payments, electronic payments, and amounts from tip pools or tip sharing arrangements that customers leave for employees over the amount due for goods or services.

Does not affect any existing tax claims, assessments, or collection actions for taxes accrued before the effective date.
