Restores voting rights to Stephen R. Sims of Forrest County, Mississippi, who lost eligibility as a result of his conviction.

Sims was convicted of six counts of embezzlement in Newton County on January 18, 2011, and sentenced to five years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections with concurrent sentences.

Sims was placed on parole June 18, 2013, and discharged from parole on February 13, 2017, upon expiration of his sentence.

Legislature finds that Sims has conducted himself as a law-abiding and honorable citizen since his discharge from parole.

Bill takes effect upon passage.
