Authorizes sheriffs and deputy sheriffs in counties with populations of 150,000 or more (based on 2020 federal census) to use radar speed detection equipment on public county roads and highways outside incorporated municipalities and excluding interstate or state highways.

Requires a county board of supervisors to adopt an order authorizing radar speed detection device use before sheriffs and deputies may exercise this authority.

Grants the Department of Public Safety authority to investigate reported abuse of radar equipment and notify counties of violations, with power to remove devices from offending sheriffs and deputies.

Takes effect July 1, 2025.
