Amends Mississippi Code Section 97-35-47 to add criminal penalties for false reports of crimes or emergencies at public or private elementary, secondary, or postsecondary educational institutions that intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly disrupt normal school operations.

Adults convicted of false reporting to schools face up to 5 years imprisonment and/or fines up to $10,000, plus restitution to law enforcement for investigation and prosecution costs.

Minors convicted face a minimum of 120 hours community service and/or fines up to $10,000, with violations of sentence terms resulting in 10 to 15 days detention in a juvenile facility.

Defines a false report as one unsupported by any credible evidence that was intentionally submitted knowing it was false.

Takes effect July 1, 2025.
