MS HB200

Amends Section 31-7-13 of the Mississippi Code to allow state agencies and governing authorities to be exempt from federal procurement guidelines when federal law itself provides an exemption from those guidelines.

Specifically modifies the requirement that entities using federal funds comply with 2 CFR 200.317 through 200.327 (Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards) by adding language that exemptions apply "where an agency or governing authority is exempt from such compliance pursuant to applicable federal law, regulation or program guidelines."

Takes effect July 1, 2025.
