Allows county boards of supervisors to authorize golf carts and low-speed vehicles on designated public roads within county corporate limits, matching authority previously limited to municipalities.

Permits golf cart and low-speed vehicle operation on roads where bicycles are authorized, but prohibits operation on state and federal highways except for brief crossings using the shortest route.

Requires operators to possess a valid driver's license or temporary driver's permit and proof of financial responsibility as defined under Section 63-15-1 et seq.

Mandates registration of golf carts and low-speed vehicles with the county or municipal tax collector, with a decal displayed on the left rear fender; registration remains valid as long as the owner retains the vehicle.

Registration fees collected by county clerks are deposited into the county general fund; counties must provide registrants with maps showing authorized operating areas.

Effective July 1, 2025.
