State Personnel Board shall adjust the Colonel Guy Groff State Variable Compensation Plan to increase annual compensation for state service employees effective July 1, 2025, with increases tiered by salary level: $2,500 for those earning up to $25,000; $1,500 for $25,001-$35,000; $1,000 for $35,001-$50,000; and $500 for those earning over $50,000.

Employee compensation increases are capped so no employee's salary can exceed their agency's executive head compensation.

State Personnel Board must amend the Variable Compensation Plan to increase job classification salary caps as necessary to allow all affected employees to receive their full entitled raise without exceeding existing step maximums.

Legislature shall appropriate all funds required to implement the salary increases.

Act takes effect upon passage.
