Requires applicants for concealed firearm licenses to provide proof of a mental health evaluation performed by a licensed psychiatrist showing no signs of mental illness, with the evaluation completed within 12 months before application.

Adds mental health evaluation requirement as a new qualification criterion for concealed carry license approval under Mississippi Code Section 45-9-101.

Denies licenses to applicants who fail to provide proof of the required mental health evaluation evidencing lack of mental illness.

Effective date is July 1, 2025.
