Restores voting rights to John Howard Cook of Lamar County, Mississippi, who lost voting eligibility due to a grand larceny conviction in Panola County on April 20, 1979.

Cook was originally sentenced to 60 months probation but violated probation on February 18, 1980, resulting in revocation and an 11-year sentence to the Mississippi Department of Corrections.

Cook was released on December 26, 1992, and has since conducted himself as a law-abiding and honorable citizen according to the Legislature.

The act takes effect upon passage.
