Amends Section 25-31-10, Mississippi Code of 1972, to authorize district attorneys in the 21st Circuit Court District to appoint two additional full-time criminal investigators for a total of three full-time criminal investigators.

Moves the 21st Circuit Court District from subsection (2) (which allows one additional investigator) to subsection (3) (which allows two additional investigators).

Maintains the maximum annual salary for criminal investigators at $63,000, with discretionary increases based on qualifications, education, and experience.

Preserves existing restrictions prohibiting district attorneys and assistant district attorneys from accepting private employment in matters investigated by criminal investigators.

Takes effect July 1, 2025.
