Reduces penalty for simple possession of 30 grams or less of marijuana from criminal to civil offense with maximum fine of $100.00.

Second conviction within two years is a misdemeanor punishable by up to $250 fine, up to 60 days in county jail, and mandatory drug education program.

Third or subsequent conviction within two years is a misdemeanor punishable by $250-$1,000 fine and up to six months in county jail.

Grants municipal courts jurisdiction to hear and determine civil offenses in addition to their existing criminal jurisdiction.

Effective July 1, 2025.
