Removes requirement for county sheriffs to file monthly expense reports with the board of supervisors for approval at monthly meetings.

Eliminates requirement for sheriffs to receive quarterly lump-sum appropriations (one-fourth of annual budget) at specified quarterly board meetings beginning October 1, January 1, April 1, and July 1.

Removes identical monthly reporting and quarterly appropriation requirements for county tax assessors and tax collectors.

Maintains authority for board of supervisors to examine and approve annual budgets for sheriff, assessor, and tax collector offices submitted each July for the fiscal year beginning October 1.

Takes effect upon passage.
