Adds an exemption to Mississippi's excavation notice requirements for excavation or demolition activities resulting from electric power generation operations.

The exemption applies only when activities are confined to the immediate secured property of the facility and are not performed on any operator's marked right-of-way, easement, or permitted use area.

Exempted electric power generation activities are not required to provide advance written, electronic, or telephonic notice to Mississippi 811, Incorporated before beginning excavation.

The amendment modifies Section 77-13-5 of the Mississippi Code of 1972 to add this new exception to existing excavation notification requirements.

Effective date is July 1, 2025.
