Allows retired members of the Public Employees' Retirement System (PERS) to work full-time in positions where their employer has a critical need or shortage of employees while drawing their full retirement allowance.

Retirees employed under this provision may work the full number of normal working days for the position and receive the full salary without limitations.

Requires employers to provide satisfactory evidence with quantifiable numbers demonstrating a critical need or shortage of employees, and to verify the retiree has the necessary education and experience for the position.

Employers must pay the full employer contribution to PERS on compensation received by the retiree, though retirees do not earn additional creditable service.

Takes effect July 1, 2025.
