Proposes amendment to Mississippi Constitution Section 273 to limit signatures from any single congressional district in initiative petitions to a fraction equal to 1 divided by the total number of congressional districts statewide.

Replaces the current one-fifth (1/5) limit on signatures from any congressional district with a proportional formula based on the number of congressional districts in Mississippi.

Excess signatures from any congressional district exceeding the specified portion shall be disregarded by the Secretary of State when determining petition qualification for ballot placement.

Amendment shall be submitted to qualified electors at the general election on the first Tuesday after the first Monday of November 2026.

Ballot explanation states that signatures from any congressional district cannot exceed one-fourth (1/4) of total signatures required to qualify an initiative petition.
