Commends and congratulates the George County High School Rebels Baseball Team for winning the 2024 Mississippi High School Athletics Association Class 6A Baseball State Championship on May 24, 2024.

Team defeated Warren Central twice with identical 3-2 scores at Trustmark Park in Pearl, Mississippi, finishing the season with a 30-5 record and capturing their first state championship since 1997 (27 years).

Head Coach Brandon Davis achieved his 400th career win with this championship and was named Class 6A "Coach of the Year"; he was also a senior catcher on the 1997 state championship team.

Ben Davis (Coach Davis's son) was named Class 6A "Player of the Year," with teammates Preston McAdory, Tripp Lightsey, and Canyon Reeves also named Class 6A All-State.
