Honors Officer Troy Floyd of the Summit Police Department, who died in the line of duty on August 8, 2024.

Recognizes his 28-year law enforcement career including service as Deputy Sheriff in Copiah, Lawrence, Lincoln, and Pike counties, Parole Agent with Mississippi Department of Corrections, and officer with Summit and Wesson Police Departments.

Acknowledges his strong faith, integrity, compassion, and commitment to serving and protecting his community throughout his career.

Expresses deepest sympathy to his surviving wife Sage Floyd, children Raiden Floyd and Carlyanna Nicholson, and all family and friends.

Directs copies of the resolution be furnished to Officer Floyd's family and the Capitol Press Corps.
