Honors Flight Nurse Dustin Brett Pope, 35, a native of Neshoba County who died in the line of duty on March 10, 2025, aboard AirCare 3 medical transport helicopter.

Recognizes Pope's career in emergency medical services beginning in 2010 at Anderson Regional Medical Center and his work as Base Supervisor and skilled clinician for UMMC's AirCare team since 2017.

Commends Pope's service as a dedicated family man, devout Christian, and public servant whose commitment to emergency medical care and protecting others exemplified the highest ideals of courage and sacrifice.

Extends deepest sympathy and gratitude to Pope's surviving family (wife Tabatha and three children), colleagues at the University of Mississippi Medical Center and Med-Trans Corporation, and the communities he served.

Directs copies of the resolution be furnished to Pope's family, UMMC, Med-Trans Corporation, and the Capitol Press Corps.
