Recognizes and commends the Germantown High School Band for winning the 7A 2024 State Marching Band Championship under band director Justin Harvison

This is the band's fourth state championship total, including wins in 2022 (6A), 2013 (5A), and 2017 (5A), with a runner-up finish in 2023 (7A)

Band members won first place in Colorguard, General Effect, Music Performance, and Visual Performance categories, plus third place in Percussion at the state competition

The 166-member band performed a nine-minute show called "Wild Card" featuring music from Henry Purcell, Frank Ticheli, Jules Massenet, and Billie Eilish, and won additional awards at regional competitions including the Bands of America Memphis Regional

Copies of the resolution shall be provided to Band Director Justin Harvison and members of the Capitol Press Corps
