Commends Jackson State University's "Sonic Boom of the South" marching band and Director Dr. Roderick Little for their performance at the 136th Tournament of Roses Parade on January 1, 2025, in Pasadena, California.

Recognizes the band as the sole HBCU marching band selected to perform in the 2025 parade, which was broadcast by NBC to over 850,000 parade attendees and millions of viewers.

Notes the band's 300 student musicians performed prior to the parade at the 44th annual Rose Bowl band fest on December 30, 2024.

Highlights the band's history dating to 1948 and adoption of the "Sonic Boom of the South" name in 1971, as well as recent achievements including performance at Super Bowl LVIII halftime show in 2024 and 2021 Presidential Inauguration Parade.

Directs distribution of the resolution to the band director, Jackson State University President Marcus Thompson, and the Board of Trustees.
