Commends the Jackson State University Lady Tigers Softball Team for winning the 2024 Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Tournament Championship on May 10, 2024, defeating Florida A&M University 3-1 in Gulfport, Mississippi.

Recognizes this as the team's second overall SWAC Tournament title and first since 2011, with the victory earning an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Honors standout performances by Jace Jackson (SWAC Tournament MVP), Sofia Gonzalez (pitcher with complete game, one run allowed), Kristina Carlson (3-for-3 at the plate with an RBI), and All-Tournament Team selections Mari Stephens, Julie Lopez, Ka'Liyah Gipson, and Victoria Salazar.

Acknowledges Head Coach Kevin Montgomery's exemplary leadership in guiding the team to victory through determination, resilience, and sportsmanship.

Directs that copies of the resolution be furnished to Coach Montgomery, the softball team, Jackson State University's President, and the Capitol Press Corps.
