Commends the Lamar High School Lady Raiders Volleyball Team for winning the 2024 Mississippi Association of Independent Schools (MAIS) Division II State Championship, their third consecutive title.

Team defeated Pillow Academy in the championship match on October 21, 2024, with a three-set sweep (25-16, 25-14, 25-14) and recorded 11 service aces.

Team roster included Sellers Breaux, Addison McKee, Emma Hale, Ella Temple, Reagan Barefield, Saydee Oltremari, Rylee Schimelpfening, Caroline Fruge, Vallie Purvis, Anna Grace Terry and Libby Tulip, finishing with a 21-9 record.

Recognizes Head Coach Courtney Schimelpfening and Assistant Coach Alex Schimelpfening for cultivating a culture of excellence that produced three consecutive state championships.

Directs copies of the resolution to be furnished to Head Coach Schimelpfening, Lamar School administration, and the Capitol Press Corps.
