Recognizes and commends the musical career of Jimmy "Duck" Holmes, a blues musician and proprietor of the Blue Front Cafe, the oldest surviving juke joint in Mississippi.

Holmes is known as the last of the Bentonia bluesmen, having learned the Bentonia School of blues from Henry Stuckey and later from Jack Owens in the 1980s.

Released eight albums beginning with his 2006 debut "Back to Bentonia," which won two Living Blues Awards for Best Debut Blues Album and Best Acoustic Blues Album; his 2019 album "Cypress Grove" was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Traditional Blues Album.

Has performed at major blues festivals including the Chicago Blues Festival, Waterfront Blues Festival, and Mississippi Valley Blues Festival, and appeared in documentaries including "M for Mississippi" and "I Am the Blues."

Directs the House to extend sincere wishes for continued success in Holmes' future endeavors and provide copies of the resolution to Holmes and the Capitol Press Corps.
