Recognizes Rust College's 159-year history of academic excellence since its establishment in 1866 by the Freedman's Aid Society of the Methodist Episcopal Church in Holly Springs.

Acknowledges over 5,500 college graduates who became bishops, teachers, college presidents, lawyers, physicians, and community leaders.

Commends the institution's commitment to teaching, social justice, and student-centered education offering associate and baccalaureate degree programs.

Directs copies of the resolution to be furnished to Dr. Robert M. Dixon, President of Rust College, and Capitol Press Corps.
