Amends the definition of "crime of violence" to exclude burglary of a dwelling as defined in Section 97-17-32(1), making convictions for this offense no longer disqualifying for intervention court eligibility.

Restructures eligibility requirements for intervention court participation to clarify that participants cannot have felony convictions for crimes of violence within the previous 10 years, trafficking in controlled substances, or pending criminal proceedings for crimes of violence.

Removes the separate bar on burglary of a dwelling charges by incorporating it into the revised definition of "crime of violence," allowing individuals charged with or convicted of burglary of a dwelling to potentially qualify for intervention court programs.

Takes effect July 1, 2025.
