Establishes an Artificial Intelligence in Education Task Force led by the State Superintendent of Education to evaluate AI applications in K-12 education and develop policy recommendations for responsible use by students and educators.

Task force consists of 12 members appointed by September 1, 2025: 4 appointed by the Governor, 4 by the Lieutenant Governor, and 4 by the Speaker of the House, with expertise in education, technology, AI, ethics, data privacy, industry needs, and procurement.

Task force shall meet at least 4 times between September and December 15, 2025, to evaluate current AI technology, assess ethical and privacy implications, and develop policy recommendations covering academic integrity, acceptable uses, data privacy, AI in educational standards, educator training, and procurement requirements.

Task force shall submit interim reports by November 15, 2025, and a final report with findings and policy recommendations to the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and Speaker of the House by December 15, 2025, with the final report posted on the Department of Education website.

Task force is dissolved on January 1, 2026; the act takes effect July 1, 2025.
