Modifies the role of interim superintendents when a school district emerges from state of emergency or district transformation status to serve in an advisory and oversight capacity during the newly reconstituted school board's first year of full administration.

Interim superintendent continues to serve alongside both the reconstituted school board and the school district's newly appointed superintendent, rather than maintaining direct administrative control.

Interim superintendent must make periodic reports to the State Board of Education during this advisory period.

Applies to school districts where the Governor has lifted a declared state of emergency or where the State Board of Education has ended district transformation status due to academic or financial reasons.

Takes effect July 1, 2025.
