Changes aggravated domestic violence from a third offense felony to a second offense felony, requiring only one prior conviction within seven years instead of two prior convictions, with sentencing of 10-20 years.

Modifies third or subsequent domestic violence offense sentencing to require only two prior convictions instead of three, with mandatory imprisonment of 15-20 years.

Second offense simple domestic violence carries 5-10 years imprisonment; second offense aggravated domestic violence carries 10-20 years imprisonment.

Effective date is July 1, 2025.
