Amends Section 45-33-33 of the Mississippi Code to increase the maximum penalty for failure to register as a sex offender from five (5) years to five (5) years and one (1) day of imprisonment.

The one-day increase enables judges to revoke bond under Section 29 of Article 3 of the Mississippi Constitution of 1890 for sex offender registration violations.

Maintains the maximum fine of $5,000 for registration violations and preserves mandatory electronic monitoring requirements upon release from incarceration.

Effective July 1, 2025.
